Tessa Schack is a wildlife photographer based in the Algarve, with decades of work across Africa’s national parks. Her first book, Passionately Africa, was about to launch. She needed a site that matched the book’s visual quality and gave her a way to sell it directly. The book was the brief. I built the site from its pages.

Cocoon Cooks had been running on Squarespace since around 2014. Rita and André wanted something fully custom, bilingual, and with e-commerce for ebooks. After a previous attempt with a digital agency that didn't work out, they asked me to step in. I rebuilt it from scratch, on my stack, and handed them something they could run entirely on their own.

Jorge and Filipe run Cabanas da Viscondessa on São Jorge island — six cabins in cryptomeria wood, a historic quinta, and a café on the edge of the forest. Their old website wasn’t connected to their channel manager. I built the new one from scratch, and helped them choose the booking system too.

What started as a few hours helping with emails became a two-year collaboration covering operations, B2B partnerships, and a multilingual website that opened a new revenue channel.
