Stills is a photography studio in Loulé, in the Algarve. It needed a website that showed the work without compressing it: large, high-resolution images that didn't cost the site its speed. Built on Next.js and Sanity CMS.

Photography first, without paying in speed
A photography website lives with a technical conflict: the images want to be huge and the web wants everything to load fast. The Stills site was built around that conflict. High-resolution galleries, a full-screen lightbox and serious image optimisation, so no photograph paid the price.
The result is measurable: 95+ mobile performance on PageSpeed Insights with perfect visual stability (CLS 0), on a site that is almost nothing but images. Built on Next.js and Sanity CMS in 28.8 hours of development, with the CMS ready for the team to manage galleries and content.
